Enrollment is closed.

This class is for you if:

  • You’re a burned-out artist in need of a fresh perspective

  • You’re returning to art after a long absence and want help getting started

  • You’re just starting a sketchbook practice and don’t know where to start

  • You’re an experienced sketchbook artist looking for something fresh

  • You just want to make more art!

Sketchbook Seeds: Spring is the first in a series of four seasonal sketchbook filler classes designed to help you fill your sketchbook pages with cheerful seasonal art while boosting your creative confidence and art skill.

In the class we'll be drawing and painting bunnies, crocuses, daffodils, robins, tulips and squirrels using a variety of simple mixed media approaches.

And because we’ll take a simple approach, you can use any materials you’d like.

You don’t need to invest in a whole bunch of new art supplies (unless you want to!).

I know from personal experience that so much sketchbook magic happens from trying new techniques with old materials!

Here’s a look at some of the art you’ll create in this class:

This class will introduce you to several minimalist mixed media processes that you can use over and over again in your art practice.

Sure, we’re focusing on spring-tastic subject matter but everything you can learn can be applied to any subject matter!

By the end of the class, you’ll be more creatively confident, and you’ll see your artistic skill grow.

Enrollment closes on May 3 at 9pm EST

Hey there!

I’m Steph Fizer Coleman

I’ve made a lot of art in my life. A LOT. And I’ve made a lot of art over the past 15 years as a professional artist too.

Art for children’s books, greeting cards, wall art, puzzles, stickers, tea towels, stationery set, enamel pins, and well…you get it. Lots of art! For all the things!

But my most important art? My most creatively fulfilling art? It’s happening in my sketchbook. Every day.

I’ve experienced first hand how impactful a sketchbook practice is, whatever your a professional art, like me, or someone who draws just for fun, also like me 🤣

The work that I do in my sketchbook informs every other aspect of my creative practice and even my art business! I learn and uncover so much during my daily sketchbook sessions, even when they don’t go “well.”

Having a daily sketchbook practice is some change-your-life type stuff. You’ll become a better artist. You’ll uncover new ways of making art, both big and small. You’ll build confidence. You’ll feel inspired more often.

What’s Included:

  • An overview of my preferred mixed media materials with suggestions on other options so you don’t need to buy new materials (unless you want to)

  • A simple mixed media abstract exercise to help you understand your materials and how they combine with one another.

  • A reference photo PDF

  • A writing exercise PDF to accompany your sketchbook work

  • And six mixed media sketchbook demos all presented at real time speed (no speedy bits!)

  • 3.5 hours of video instruction

  • Instant access to this self-paced class so you can start right away and take your time

  • Lifetime access to the class plus any future updates

Enrollment closes on May 3 at 9pm EST
